MEET OUR STAFF!

My Name is Abby Miller and im originally from Denver, Colorado. I have been fortunate enought to be around horses all my life, starting with hunter/jumper background, but I got involved grooming from polo at 15, I inmidiatly fell in love with the sport and soon i started plying at Denver Polo Club, and even getting my own ponies as well.

I recenlty moved to Arizona for school and was lucky enough to find Arizona Polo Club and Scottsdale Polo Academy and its amazing members and horses. I've been so lucky to call this club home away from home and can't wait for the upcoming season!

Makayla has been around horses for long time and she is very good on many aspects from breaking, desensitizing and all around horse woman. She was started at  Rancho de Florez few years back and now she's back again to learn and improve on polo. She has a very solid horsemanship and she's is very gentle with the ponies.

Dr. Florez is a veterinarian by trade and graduated in 1994. He has been fascinated with horses since he was a kid. After finding how wonderful  polo is He wants other people to have a place and the  opportunity to enjoy the horses and fall in love with them  and the game of polo. Dr. Florez oversees the overall health  year around including vaccinations, deworming, shoeing, nutrition, exercise, training etc.

In addition Dr. Florez has developed the polo breeding program at Rancho de Florez by selecting the mares and sourcing the stallions that might be the best matches to the mares based on the qualities.

Gabriel carries a 2 goal handicap in Colombian and US. 

Has been playing polo for since 2015

Worked as a pilot and professional for the Beguerie organization in Pilar, Buenos Aires for two years (2018, 2019). There, he participated in various recognized tournaments such as the Gazzoti Cup (14 goal tournament) and the Sojo Cup (18 goal tournament), reaching the final in both.

He has also played in Ecuador where he played and won the Campeonato Nacional de Ecuador (10-15 goal tournament). (2021)

Nacho is our grounds and equine leader. He makes sure that the back of the ranch is in perfect condition. Pasture rotation, group of horses properly divided and attentive to any issues that might arise. Irrigation and maintenance leader on the equipment and stables.

He's an animal lover and enjoys being around the ponies.
